Tim has finished two new CD's entitled "It's Only Natural" and "One More". The plans are to release them one at a time over the next year or two. The great John Blanche and Sean Rubin at "John Blanche Recording Studio helped produce and engineer both efforts. "It's Only Natural" is more like a mutated southern rock/country thing, whereas "One More" sounds like a 70's kind of pop/jazz/blues thing. As usual, Tim is all over the musical map. With less playing live lately, Tim's been concentrating on recording and writing.

Tim's been playing in several groups lately. The Tim Nielsen Trio, Johnny June Bloom and the Fruit Pickers, and he's been subbing with Casey Hurley's band The Groove Junkies. Check out the calendar and come hear one or all of them.

There's a new band in town. "Johnny June Bloom and the Fruit Pickers." It consists of Tim Nielsen on guitar and vocals, Casey Hurley on guitar, vocals and harmonica, Tom Shuman and John Prince on bass, and none other than the world famous Johnny Harrell on drums. Come hear them at The MoonCricket Grille in Winter Garden on Saturday, September 20.

Tim welcomes new drummer Bob Battersby to the Trio. Bob is a great player and a great guy. He also owns a music store in Clermont, Fla. "Cornerstone Music."

Tim's new CD entitled "Ghosts" is now available on cdbaby.com.

Tim has finished the new CD. It is entitled "Ghosts" Production was kept to a minimum. Tim wanted it to sound like a group of musicians playing in a room for their own enjoyment. The songs and the lyrics are the focus. Tim has rerecorded several tunes along with 4 or 5 new songs. The songs on the CD work together well to tell a story. Tim is in the studio finishing up what will become his new CD. The title has not yet been determined. More on this to come.

On February 9, Brutha Niel & the Real Deal will take the stage at an annual event that has come to be known as "Tealstock." Actually, it's a private party held out in a pasture! Cool huh?! More to come on this later.

Brutha Niel & The Real Deal will be playing the annual City of Ocoee's Founder's Day celebration for the third time in a row. The show starts at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 19 at Starke Lake Park in downtown Ocoee.

Brutha Niel is going to play solo without a band at Bert's MoonCricket Grille. Just an acoustic guitar. Come hear the songs he's written and some other good stuff too. Starting this coming Tuesday, August 28 from 6-9 pm, and each Tuesday after that.

Brutha Niel & The Real Deal will be playing the popular Winter Garden Music Festival again this year. They will be closing the show on October 5, at 9:00 pm. The streets of historic downtown Winter Garden are closed and there will be two big stages where a variety of music will be performed. All the while you can stroll the quaint downtown area and partake of the restaurants and shops there. Come to the show.

It's not too early to start thinking about where you're going to party on New Year's Eve. Come to "A THIRD PLACE'" in Eustis. Brutha Niel & The Real Deal will be there. More on this to come.
